The East Finchley Open Artists’ Open House weekends are one of our most important projects. Each year we welcome visitors to a very enjoyable event which is the perfect opportunity to meet our artists and craftspeople and to buy work directly from them.
East Finchley Open Artists are pleased to support Homeless Action in Barnet, a charity working since 1997 to support the homeless and vulnerably housed within Barnet. Please help us to help homeless people in Barnet by bidding in the auction -- all of the funds go to the charity.
The creative process often starts with a scribble in a sketchbook. It might be used or adapted at a later date or might be the starting point of a new artwork. This fascinating glimpse into the sketchbooks of our members captures works in progress.

For their next HLSI exhibition ‘The Northern Line’, East Finchley Open Artists are creating images that relate to a Northern Line station of their choice. Each work will respond to the chosen station’s name, and artists have already selected a wide range of Northern Line stations.

EFOA are exhibiting at the Phoenix Cinema during October 2021. the theme of the month long exhibition is ''The Affordable Wall'' with the title of ''PHOENIX RISING'' All art work is in the same size frame and all priced at £95.
East Finchley Open Artists have collaborated with the Archer Academy since the school first opened. We have also presented the Art & Design awards each year and are now pleased to be able to show their students art work in a dedicated gallery on our new website.
Most artists and craftspeople use sketch books as an integral part of their creative activity. Usually unseen, we asked our members to open their sketchbooks to view, to show that good art and craft does not just happen. It is part of a continuing process that goes on all the time.
Global warming is a daunting concept that can be hard to process, and it’s easy to be overwhelmed when confronted with a plethora of scientific statistics about temperatures and predicted sea level rises. This exhibition aims to explore ideas about climate change - its causes and effects. The artists are asked to address the issues of rising temperatures, pollution, natural disasters, rising sea levels and diminishing resources.

Wabi is said to be defined as “rustic simplicity” or “understated elegance” with a focus on a less-is-more mentality. Sabi is translated to “taking pleasure in the imperfect.” The Japanese philosophy encourages us to focus on the blessings hiding in our daily lives, and celebrating the way things are rather than how they should be.

The Gallery at the beautiful Art Deco Cinema at East Finchley is delighted to welcome in the month of August 2019 the EFO artists exhibition of 'Close Up'. In this exhibition each discipline will explore images taken at close range.
